Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I went on holiday last week with Dan, my best friend and her family. We went to Mablethorpe on the East coast for a week and me and Dan before that had a few days in Derbyshire.
I had an ECG before we went and my heart rhythm was slightly abnormal so I need another check up next week. They weren't too worried. My blood pressure has continued to stay low, the nurses are amazed that this pregnancy has lowered my BP.
I had a midwife appointment today and she was so lovely, the took some bloods and measured my bump and she is measuring about normal for gestational age. It's hard to believe she'll be here in a couple of months.
I know a lot of you want to know about Dan, the holiday did him good. As did living with my Mum for a few weeks. He still gets very tired and very frustrated easily. He also forgets his words and gets confused when tired. Sometimes I have to guess what he is trying to say, then he gets annoyed when I get it wrong, well I don't know where his Cat? Dog? Cheese? Chair? is when he is trying to say shoes!! But I knew it wasn't going to be easy looking after someone with a Traumatic Brain Injury and if Olive grows up laughing at her Dad when he gets his words wrong then that's what will be.
Olive is also doing well, every night at midnight she has a rave in my womb and moves for the next 3 hours. I'm pretty sure she's practicing keeping me up all night when she's older. That and she's starting rehearsals for when she's on Strictly or Scoring the winning goal in the women's world cup. I have a few personalised items with her birth name on which will remain a secret until she's born but it's nice to say her real name and not Olive as much as I'm growing fond of it.
I think I've waffled on enough now.

Lovely to hear your updates about the 3 of you and to learn you have had some good time away.
It must be so irritating for Dan to not get his words right but I'm sure with more rest and recovery things will get better and better. It is still early days for him, going through the trauma that he has.
Pleased to hear Olive is still up to her night-time mischief, what a ittle pickle she is!
You're all going to make a wonderful little family together xx
Thanks for the update V, I think of you often and am glad to hear how you're going. I can't wait to hear Olive's name when she's born! It must be hard for you and Dan to understand and figure out how to handle the brain injury effects, hopefully you have good support and treatment/therapy that can help recovery.Sounds like you need to get all the rest you can before Olive arrives, she's going to be a lively little one!
Been a while but lovely to hear that you are doing well..and little Olive too...keeping your humour will also do you a world of good..keep well...and strong..and best of luck.
So pleased to hear all is well and you had a break. I know it's frustrating for Dan and it's unknown territory for both of you but I hope in time he can learn to laugh at his word mistakes. They're not his fault after all. Be very grateful that your BP is normal. Mine wasn't. I spent 3 months on bed rest and a very premature baby weighing under 2lbs. He was fine- he'll be 36 on Friday
Great to hear that you're all doing well & have had a good holiday. I'm sure that was needed! It must be frustrating for Dan with his words, but still early days. Xx
