I was recently diagnosed with an incomplete LBBB

Hello everyone! I was diagnosed with Incomplete Left bundle branch block and possible LVH.

I am 29 years old and I am afraid of the prognosis. I’ve had cardiological testing 10 months ago e.g echocardiogram, nuclear stress test, 24 hour holter monitor, and 10 day round the clock study. All the test according to my cardiologist came back normal; aside from the LBBB.

Fast forward 10months later I moved up north and had to find a new cardiologist, and so I did and I went to the appointment where I still had the incomplete LBBB (114ms delay) but now according to the EKG I have “minor voltage criteria for LVH.”

I have a CT cardiogram scheduled for Wednesday and hopefully it comes back clear.

I’m just discouraged by the literature surrounding LBBB, but there is always hope.

How do you guys live with LBBB? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated

Thank you,

I have been diagnosed with complete LBBB nearly 2 yrs ago..brought on by unexplainable reason...the Cardios have found no reason..no blockages etc...like you I was terrified and got myself into a state...I was put on quite a few meds at the beginning..but now just take entresto and Bisoprolol...BP and pulse are normal more or less..sometimes lower than they should be...I am aware of my health problem...but now I carry on as normal..take my meds..in lowest dosages...and an doing ok..My EF has improved as well..with a partial LBBB..you may not have impaired EF...so do not be too fearful...there is help available..

Thank you for your response it was very helpful! My test came back normal for the most part. I was scheduled to do a CTTA test 2 days ago, but unfortunately my heart rate just wouldn’t lower to the designated range of 49-65 for the test; even with 250mg of metoprolol. Hopefully I get more answer soon

I have LBBB, and have a CRT-P pacemaker, which is three leads instead of 2. I take a few medications, but so far so good, live a normal life.

Thank you for your response! I read that pace makers were ineffective for LBBB. However; I think the studies on google are outdated

I'm 66 now - probably had LBBB all my life but only diagnosed when heart ejection factor damaged by cancer treatment a couple of years ago. On Entresto and Bisoprolol which slows my heart rate but otherwise no problems. No difficulty or danger exercising vigorously - swim 1k a day,, dance, cyle on holiday. Just eat and live sensibly and good luck!

Swim 1k! Wow, that’s awesome. I wish I could do that. It’s great hearing that LBBB hasn’t stopped you. Thank you

Very slow old lady swimming with my head out of water, but it's my favourite exercise. Find something you like and do it regularly.
