An Alternative to taking tablets.

Hi all,

I have moderate LVSD EF 35% and LBBB I am intolerant to all heart medication+. Is there anyone else on here like me or am I really rare as my cardiologist suggests.

I am now moving onto my 4th specialist in hope of finding a solution to my issue of tablets. I have been refused an ICD due to not being able to take tablets supposedly you need to be on maximum dose of everything. Also does anyone know of any cardiologists that think out if the box as we aren't all the same. Willing to travel if needed.

I have different heart problems to you (see bio), but I too react very badly to a broad spectrum of drugs. Unfortunately I've had to take matters into my own hands with regards to this as help was not forthcoming from my GP or cardiologist.

I would advise to work with your medical professionals to find a solution, but understand that ultimately it is our own decisions about what we think are best for us. Best of luck.

I have LBBB and EF of 20%, and was coping OK until I got a chest infection. You could try a Mediterranean diet, and a gentle exercise routine. I ended up with meds and an ICD.

I already eat quite well not overweight. I also try and do a bit of walking each day.

Hello Brandi

You are correct I have been told need to be on the Maximum of Meds before a CRT P.

Well I am on max meds and tomorrow I have an MRI to guide any further Intervention my ef is low 40s well it was about 18months ago !! I do know they are keeping an eye on the QRS which you can see on an ECG it's something to do with the timing gap between the Heart Pumping and Relaxing ( I think that is right but stand to be corrected ) Iam OK on the meds but can't get to max Entresto because of lowering Blood Pressure, Bisoprolol I move between 7.5 mg and 10 mg currently 10mg trying to sort breathless events. I have been told Bisoprolol will not go below 7.5mg sono choice with that.

I would think but don't know that if the cost of Meds goes above the cost of CRT, NICE would advise the CRT !!!

Best Regards

My QRS was 116 on the last ECG. Take care.
