Collagen and biotin

I'm experiencing hair thinning /lose, assumably menopause as all blood tests fine (GPs advice was to take hair, skin, nails vitamins) and was thinking of taking either collagen (this seems a complete mindfield as there's so many different ones) or biotin. Are these OK to take whilst on meds following a heart attack, Bisoprolol, aspirin, candesartan, rosuvastatin, lansoprazole. Not sure if I read and can't seem to find any info on collagen or biotin and the heart?

Hello,

Biotin can affect troponin blood level tests, giving possible lower levels.

Troponin blood levels are used to assess damage to the heart during acute coronary syndrome and heart attacks.

I suggest you talk to a Pharmacist for further advice about which supplements are safe to take with heart medications.

Bless you. We are trying to help ourselves and find solutions and then when we investigate what might help us we discover a whole new set of problems.I can't answer your question however your right to query how any new tablet could interact with your health and other meds how about asking your local pharmacist, just a thought hope that helps.

I recently about three months ago started using Rosemary oil on my scalp once a week and massaging it in with a scalp massager not a battery operated one just a cheap plastic one. I did notice a difference in my hair when I came to brush or comb it not as much hair falling out

I read this week we're all using the Rosemary oil in the wrong way! It should be used with a carrier oil. Honestly I give up, we ladies want to look after our hair, our skin and so on but there's far too much information and choice out there. I did but some Coconut oil to mix with the Rosemary oil but no doubt that's not right either I just like the smell of coconut oil.

Good luck I hope you can find something that helps we as ladies with all our problems and stresses deserve just a few maybe three choices to make an informed decision.

I am also using a bonded shampoo and conditioner which also helps with hair fall. I would try massaging your scalp the night before washing with the Rosemary oil it certainly helps me and I have noticed hair growth doing this.
