Hi Gymqueen

My current travel insurance provider is Staysure. Iā€™ve noticed this is a very popular question on here, and has been answered many times. If you type in ā€œtravel insuranceā€ in the search bar, any posts related to this will come up and youā€™ll see that people have made a wide variety of suggestions which might be useful to you.

Afternoon,

Thank you so much for responding so fast. I will look at Staysure. I have done a good search but not a lot came up. Do you know anything about 4Medical as a company? This is all new to us and want be be able to make my husband feel we can still have a normal life. Its all very new to him.

Thank you again for your response.

Afternoon :).

I havenā€™t heard of 4Medical. Staysure cover a wide range of complex health conditions, hence why I am with them. I have a congenital heart defect known as myocardial bridging and was surprised that they provided cover for this.

Hopefully there are others on here who may be able to provide some information on 4Medical, or suggest another.

Staysure have good cover, thank you for your recommendation. As you said it will over heart attacks and other heart conditions which is great to see. Personally, I would like to go with a company others have used.

Thank you again for all your help.

I suggest you use a site covering travel insurance with pre existing medical conditions and go from there. You could also try a local broker. However you may find difficulty in obtaining cover if there are any planned heart related investigations or procedures in the offing, which is what I found out last year when Staysure would not insure me due to an upcoming angiogram. I ended up going to Allclear who at least offered a sensible price for cover compared to others. And I would certainly not just try one insurer since the premiums can be very variable.

Iā€™ve been using staysure for years and when I had to change my medical status after HA and stent it only went up by a few pounds a year.

Avanti travel insurance beat the rest when I was looking, several people on here have been pleased when trying them.

Confused dot com allow you to put in your condition and search for companies. The main thing is to declare all your conditions to ensure you are covered, for me it was stents, heart attack, high cholesterol and high blood pressure; although the two last items are at normal levels due to drugs you must still declare them as conditions. Some questionnaires allow you to enter the name of your medications which makes it a bit easier.
