Travel insurance after heart attack

I'm new here and looking for advise on who to go to for travel insurance? Had stents and then a bypass operation 3 years ago and all's well, I'm fit and healthy but nearly 70 and Saga has refused me! Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum! There is a pinned post about travel and life insurance. Personally I would recommend StaySure. The US, the Caribbean and cruising tend to expensive. ☹️

BHF have a list on their website and I got a few quotes when our existing insurer declined to cover me when u had a pacemaker put in. I used Staysure in 2017-18, and moved to All Clear last spring as they were cheaper than Staysure for travel to the Caribbean. Emergency evacuation would be to the USA from there so it was more than just going to Europe.

Actually the list is probably on this website if you have a hunt.

I have heart failure btw.

I'm gone with StaySure, 12 months policy worldwide excluding USA Caribbean - £270, not the cheapest but the level of cover is very good.

I used "payingtomuch" they are like brokers and find you the best deal for your condition

Take care

Try the Post Office. They're reliable, reasonably and have covered us for heart attack/stent but we were only looking for cover to Europe
