It's difficult to get insurance when there's outstanding tests in prospect, I suspect you'll have to have the results from your May echo before you'll be able to arrange cover. And that assumes you then get the all clear, if there's any further medical tests or intervention it'll further delay getting insurance.

There's an unfortunate result from insurance company's reticence, it means some people won't seek medical advice if they're about to go away because they're worried about invalidating their cover and losing their holiday.

Personally i wouldn't book (or at least not unless the cruise can be cancelled with a full refund) until you're in a stable situation and are finished with on-going treatment (other than medication) and tests.

Cruising presents its own problems with insurance especially if the US is involved. Helicopters might be involved and that's expensive. If you have tests outstanding you might find insurance impossible.

I use justtravelcover.com which is an easy online source that will come up with quotes from different insurers. Until you have the test results I suspect you might be best staying on land in this country. There are some great train journeys

I went on cruise last year and bought annual travel insurance with staysure - very reasonable insurance cover . I had oh in 2021 and have high blood pressure and Afib . I shopped around and for annual insurance they were good .
