Hello
Happy New Year to you
Yes some of us are struggling but at the same time it is lovely to see posts where people are not it gives us hope
What a fantastic holiday you are going to be having and deserve to have
If in search posts you put travel Insurance lots of posts with advice from members will come up which you can look through as well as members obviously giving you advice on your post to
I look forward to hearing all about this wonderful cruise and the experience you have x
please be under know illusion that I don’t struggle with my mental health
I’m always (in between issues ) trying to be positive about my future life and what it may look like
For someone who has never smoked never been overweight and not even a drinker finds herself with heart issues finds my mind racing to make sense of my life
I do think that I like it when people actually ask me how I am or how I really am
So many people don’t ask not that they intend to pry but to avoid the possibility that I might say actually I’m scared and I feel very much alone with stuff
Again I haven’t been this open in talking and it feels good to express myself
I would suggest you try StaySure and AllClear. It will be expensive because the event of something serious a helicopter lift to shore will be required.
My brother was taken seriously ill a few years ago whilst in Morocco, he was insured with Staysure who looked after him and his wife absolutely superbly, they took care of everything, hospital bills, additional accomodation, taxis for my sister in law to get to the hospital, accompanied flight home the lot.....since then guess who I've always used for my travel insurance.
Cruise insurance isn't quite as straightforward as normal holiday insurance. Some cruise lines insist on specific policy elements, for example Cunard specify a repatriation allowance of something like ÂŁ2m (from memory), which is much greater than most policies provide.
None of this is particularly problematic. You just have to be careful to understand the cruise line's insurance requirements, and you may have to talk to a representative from the insurance company to ensure that your policy is adjusted to meet those required standards.
Incidentally, my wife and I cruised to Scandinavia last summer. We loved every minute (dancing a waltz on deck at midnight as the sun kisses the horizon was a pretty special moment), and I'm sure you'll have an equally amazing experience.
Hi good to hear you have booked a cruise we are hoping we will be able to very soon ( 8 weeks post triple bypass) we went on a cruise to Norway and Iceland several years ago had a lovely time. The Blue Lagoon in Iceland is a must visit I did not want to leave. Happy New Year and enjoy your cruise.
Happy new year to you too. I too am on a similar cruise at the same time, I wonder if it’s the same one. Enjoy it when it comes.
Our insurance is with CSiS. I binned Staysure as we had issues when awaiting tests, something they need to rethink with nhs waiting lists, but that’s another story. Also heard a few horror stories about claims with Staysure. You never know how good they are till you need to claim! But hopefully not get to find out. 🤞🏼
Hi all, Wish you all a Happy New Year Welcome Year 23 with open arms and for those who have not been well in 2002, can look forward with a sense of optimism and positivity in the New Year. I am particularly speaking on my behalf. I do not wish to repeat what happened to me in 2002 because of some "bad apples" in NHS. Eventually through lot of hard work and determination, I have found a surgical consultant who is going to do a laparoscopic procedure on 9.1.23. I can say I am third time lucky because the first two said I am not fit for surgery because I have pacemaker implant and I must have MRI. The implant is not MRI compatible but there were alternative ways of imaging. I am a happy man and I wish you all who have been disappointed like me, to have a new chapter in their life in the New Year.
I too am allergic to the iodine dye, you are the first person on here I have heard who is Had to be admitted and pretreated before I could have a angiography It was very nerve-racking as I had to trust they knew what they were doing but I was fine I am still awaiting results though as to whether I can have a Tavi valve replacement or open heart surgery
