Can those on dapagliflozin take mounjaro?

dapagliflozin

I've seen suggestions that there's an increased risk of hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar), but this really is a question for your pharmacist or GP. If you're fortunate, your surgery may have its own pharmacist who will have access to your medical history. (We aren't allowed to directly advise you, though others may post about their own experiences.)
Interesting as it was my doctor, who has all my medical history and the meds I take on screen, who suggested mounjaro. So my assumption is that medically speaking there is no contraindication. However, it would be of great value if others post of their own personal experience. Thank you for your reply.
I have been on both for sometime without any ill effects.
I am on a tablet version of ozempic taken with dapagliflozin and Metformin as part of the Ascend trial. It has steadied my blood sugar and there have been no problems apart from some nausea as the dose increased.
is your doctor prescribed it?
You should ask them first. Don’t take anything they haven’t suggested.
Yes, of course, it was prescribed by my GP. My question is has anybody taking both dpagliflozin and mounjaro noticed any ill-effects.
There are a lot of threads about it on the Cardiomyopathy UK Facebook group. Many people take both but always approved by their cardiologist or GP.
Each have their own side effects. Dapagliflozine ones are a long list.
I have been taking dapagliflozin for several years and have recently started taking the tablet form of Ozempic. Just nausea & diahorrea so far. GP wanted me to go onto Mounjaro but I declined. So I guess the answer to your question is YES.
Never heard of the tablet form of Ozempic I wonder what the difference his besides the obvious.
Its available to diabetics on prescription & called Rybelsus. It was my choice to have the tablets instead of the injections because I was concerned about the reported gastric issues with Mounjaro & Ozempic. If you inject and are ill, you cannot do anything but ride it out. If you are taking a daily pill you have far more control and can just stop taking it.
Thank you, straight question straight answer!
