My only symptom with Dapagliflozin was losing a hell of a lot of weight very quickly. I lost 9kg in under 2 weeks.

Yes ditto every time I step on the scales I've lost a pound or two. I read somewhere else someone lost nearly two stone pretty quick then it settled down. Not usual to worry about getting on the scales because of weight loss it's usually gain you worry about.

I was put on this at the beginning of this year and not noticed any subjective change either way.

hello, I’m on Dapa and so far no side effects, but the cardiologist explained that it makes the body expel sugar in the urine. So she said to me to not hold back too much on carbs to keep things in balance. So far so good, no extra weight gained. Also Dapa has been given because it improves heart health. I hope your HF improves for you. Best wishes

I'm glad most people have had positive results from Dapa. I was prescribed it and took it for 2 weeks but developed constant nausea and queasiness. Stopped the Dapa and the symptoms have gone. Who can say if it was the Dapa or not but that has been my experience

Hi. I started Dapa last year and like Pouchielou the only side effect I experienced was weight loss, but over a number of months rather than weeks, which hopefully seems to have evened out now. Hope it’s good for you 😊

I have been on Dapagliflozin for just over a year and its the best i have felt since my HA 13 years ago, I take the usual drugs for cardiac protection and have done at various strengths since my HA and was put on Dapagliflozin when I was referred to Cardiology following a bad turn a few years ago. Since taking them I have had very few angina symptoms and have not had to use GTN for over a year. The only downside to Dapagliflozin is occaisional bouts of Thrush treated with Canestan or generic equivalent and it makes you pee more and your pee is frothy!

Hi I began taking this last October. I didn’t notice much difference but about 4 months I began losing a lot of weight. I was worried about taking this drug but now I’m glad I did. It’s a part of my heart failure cocktail of drugs.

Not on dapa, but am on Empagliflozin, which I believe is same family. At first I had diarrhea and they thought that the empagliflozin might be the cause but eventually it was tracked to the lanzoprazole that they seem to prescribe as a safety net. Also the ramapril made everything taste weird so they swapped that to candesarten and now everything seems fine. Don't be afraid to question but it takes a while to get the right mix.
