Hi Everyone 🤗, Does anyone have any advice or personal experience with regard to Holiday insurance. I had a successful double Bypass September 26th. Prior to my diagnosis of a severe stenosis on the LAD February 2022 I did not having any previous health conditions and I was an extremely fit 72 year old. Now I've come to terms with my medication 💊 scar etc my wife and I would love to get away for a week to Gran Canaria but are concerned that we might get 🔨 hammered for our travel insurance.
Holiday insurance. : Hi Everyone... - British Heart Fou...
Holiday insurance.
Without doubt Avanti insurance, I have heart failure a mechanical aortic valve a CRT-D implant and they covered me at a reasonable price.
Thanks, Hanibil.
I always recommend StaySure and All Clear. Both are reasonable and offer good cover. Always check the small print for exclusions, etc. Years ago I got a policy from the Pru. I had to see a doctor whilst on holiday who wrote out a perscription. On my return I found neither cost was covered and the policy had more holes than a colander! ☹️
Thanks Michael, best wishes Denis.
I suggest you find an on line comparison site for travel insurance with pre existing medical conditions and then go from there. We are all different and insurance companies assess our risks differently. For example Staysure would not insure me last year whereas Allclear were prepared to cover me. As for cost in my limited experience there is a big difference from company to company so it pays to shop around.
Thanks LowerField, actually did an on-line quote with Virgin Money 💰 yesterday. Quite impressed 👏 with their quote little over a £100 more fo a single trip than prior to my Bypass. So not as crazy as I was expecting. Best regards for the New Year. Denis
