Does anyone have any recommendations for holiday insurance please after a heart attack

the best help for this is on the website of Moneyhelper UK. You’ll find a list of insurers who can consider people with medical conditions.

Insurers regard each individual separately so what suits me would not necessarily be applicable to you.

Find a website that covers travel insurance with pre existing conditions, fill in the details fully and honestly, and take it from there. If you have an undiagnosed condition awaiting investigation you might find some insurers will decline to cover or the premium is very high. Or talk to a local insurance broker.

Just took out annual insurance with insureandGo, got a quote on line then rang them and got a better deal, good luck.

All Clear . I took a yearly policy to include a cruise. I had a loop device and two stents fitted in November 2024. I was very honest with the questions on line but to be sure I rang them. I am still under my consultant and the cardiac review team.My previous travel refused to cover me due to the heart event.All clear was very helpful.

I put mine through money supermarket, listed all conditions and meds, got £10 million worth of cover for turkey for just over £45 for a week, worth shopping around, some comparison sites are quite good and have companies that cover us now, have a great holiday 😎😎

I’ve already replied. Personally I use a packaged bank account and it’s £500 ish on top of the bank account cost. Went to All Clear and it’s £2000 for less cover.

Hi, my friends had an emergency in Egypt a few years ago when one of them had a heart attack. Apparently the service they received from Staysure insurance was very good so they use them every year now they both have pre existing conditions. So good was the service they simply wont use anyone else!

I've always had very high quotes from Staysure with my pre existing cardiac condition so I've shopped around each trip for a good average rate and good personal service when booking it all by telephone. Because I've never had to use any of them personally I can't really recommend any particular one but my friends recommendation is well worth consideration.

Just make sure you divulge everything regarding your health as it just takes one omission to invalidate your insurance, and no one wants that in an emergency. Peace of mind is valuable, and lifes too short not to go exploring!
