Worried wife update 3
Dear Both
Well part fantastic news and part worry, this sort of post is to be expected {and rightly so} from anyone {or their loved ones} when the operation is so recent.
Brilliant news that he has almost got home, where his recovery can really start.
The heart blip thing could be a host of things and remember this is his first real time up on his feet.
Like I said in another post to you, it is common to have AF { aerial Fibulation }
After bypass and he could still be sent home under the care of his Heart Nurse {like me} with it.
I will be waving a flag for Roger {virtual} for his home coming. And well done you Lesley for just being you, {flag in the other hand for you}
Take care, you will need answers soon on Rogers recovery and hopefully we can help you both.
Thanks just heard nurse said he probably have a 24 hr monitor for heartbeat & have to stay in Drs not been round yet So helpful to have this forum its my lifeline at the mo Thanks again Lesley
Hi Lesley. Try and be assured that your husband will only be discharged when all the individual aspects of his care are in place. It is also a good sign that post discharge monitoring is planned.Take a little comfort and a smile from his current location on the young person's cardiac ward - it does wonders for your self esteem!
Hope you had further information after the doctor's rounds and you and Roger will soon be back at home together. Don't forget to look after yourself as well. X
Hi Lesley Southampton referred to my fiancé as a “young” cardiac patient (he was in his early 60s at the time) and he still reminds me regularly that the cardiologist said he’s young! 😊
Fingers crossed Roger is home soon. (Make sure you take care of yourself too, especially when he’s home.)
