Reduction bisoprolol but still have side effects

I was put on 7.5 mg biso 8weeks ago after a pacemaker. Reduced to 5 Due to awful stomach problems. Dr agreed to reduce further to 3.75 10 days ago.stomach problems resolved but still light headed and tired. Throughout all this time my resting heart rate has remained constant at 61. Does anyone think that 2.5 mg would be more appropriate for me.

Hi,I would ask your GP this question as none of us here are qualified. I hope your problems are resolved soon.

Thankyou. I was only wondering if anyone had a similar experience of reducing bisoprolol whilst maintaining heart rate

Hi been on 2.5 for the last 18 months following mild heart attack and two stents with no problems apart from really lowering my heart rate for a few hours. However I was also prescribed a stomach protector called Lansoprazole. Might be worth talking to your GP or consultant. Used to take it with my breakfast but now take it with my evening meal as I am then planning to relax rather than exercise which I am told to do in the day time.

Hi Taichid, I've been on bisoprolol 5mg for about 10 years. Don't remember any stomach problems just trouble with my nose lining. My resting heart rate is 55ish. Had the other problems you describe caused by other medication do you take anything else that may cause it? Looking on this website for some time it is obvious that we all need different medication with different combinations and dosage. As already been suggested the best people to look to is the professionals and hopefully after trial and error you will get the correct combination. Good luck with that. Keep well and stay safe.
