I really dont know how to even ask. After 2 years since my heart attack an 1 stent my health has continuously gone down hill. I have more chest pain than when i had my heart attack. It seems that kicked any an all health conditions in overdrive. Most of my joints hurts continuously. Within 2 weeks of my surgery my neck began to hurt (never had a problem with my neck until then) xrays showed a bone spur had the base of my skull. The pain is almost unbearable at times. Now, just about every joint in my body hurts. Ive lost strength in my arms an hands. My shoulder blades is hurting all the time now. I can't grip anything, broke several dishes. I had a nerve study done 4 months back that showed minor nerve damage in my left arm, hand. I went emergency room an they said my chest pain was anxiety attack an charged me $7000.00 which put us in financial hardship so i don't go anymore. Can anyone give me a suggestion or has same conditions?

Does anyone know?
You mention other health conditions but not what they are. Also no indication of medication. All this might be relevant and allow people to relate their experiences to you.
Sorry, im a diabetic, arthritis, as for meds, ive got several. Tamsulosin HCL .4MG, Lisinopril 40mg, Metoprolol Tartrate 25mg, Vitamin D3, Nortriptyline HCL 25mg ( for migraines that just started again after 40 years), Omeprazole 40mg for acid reflux, Metformin HCI 1000mg, Gabapentin 300mg, Aspirin 81mg, Isosorbide Mononitrate 60mg SA, Pregabalin 150mg.
Thank you. I am a lifelong Type I diabetic and on some of those meds. Porcine Neutral and Isophane, Lisinopril, Bisoprolol, Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Lansoprazole, Vitamin D3, Folic Acid (till 10th December - three month course), Atorvastatin and Gabapentin (for phantom pain following BKA).
Nothing in your medication stands out to me (bear in mind I am not medically qualified). I did have bad muscle pain when I started Simvastatin but this stopped with a change to Atorvastatin. As far as I can see you are not on a statin or other cholesterol lowering drug which is unusual.
I really cannot think what to suggest. Some doctors recommend background Paracetamol. Have you tried this?
Hello Purplemaze, I'm sorry to hear you are in so much pain. It's just a thought here, but I couldn't take omeprazole, it made my bones literally ache, where I was in tears with the pain, and thought the worst. I now take 20mg of esomeprazole and I don't have any problems with 'bone pain'.
You may want to look at the side effects of omeprazole, it doesn't agree with everyone.
I hope this helps, and I hope you feel better soon. Let us know how you get on xx
With respect you have not mentioned two of the most important things, what is your diet like and how much exercise do you undertake? If they charged you that amount I presume they must have done a pretty comprehensive health check, did they make any recommendations regarding these two aspects?
Hi, sometime before my first HA I suffered a compressed spinal chord from a bone spur that had grown in my neck. The pain down my arm was 10 on the scale and I was prescribed morphine. It was the only drug that stopped it.
Some months later I had an op where the bones in my neck were filed down and a supporting metal frame put in.
The bones then grow back around it.
Since then I've been pretty much pain free.
I doubt your neck issues are connected to your heart issues. Sadly it's part of getting older. But please be assured, they can fix it.
Best of luck 🤞👍
Hi Purplemaze, as you take both metformin and omeprazole, have your vitamin b12 and folic acid status been checked? Omeprazole and metformin can both prevent the body from obtaining these two vitamins from food. Worth checking.
Do you take any statins? I didn't recognise all of your meds as I suspect you are outside of the UK? Some Statins can give you a lot of muscular problems and have to be adjusted to find the right ones.
Wow, sorry to hear that! Sounds like a terrible experience. You mentioned a Dollar price, which is even worse, because it means you paid out of pocket for something that may not even be working properly. And I'd hate to think what your medication costs. 🤢
Speaking of, it looks like a pharmacy supply cabinet: could that not be part of the problem? There could potentially not just be interactions with all those meds but they could also be preventing your body from absorbing nutrients or outright stripping it of them (see: statins and Q10).
I want to thank everyone that replied to my condition. I don't take any statins an won't. Yes im in the US were money is the main driver of health care, if i have no money an no insurance, no health care. Thank everyone an it is my hopes everyone has a great holuday season, thanks
