Just questioning what is Low Diastolic Blood Pressure today I have 88/47 just wondering if the 47 is a tad low. Had 90/60 many times and I thought I had read that 90/60 is classed as a little Low !!

ps Functioning OK on 88/47 HR 57

There was another question very similar a couple of hours ago.

Yes below 90/60 is considered low, I would say regardless of symptoms you should mention it to GP/Cardiologist, they may, depending on symptoms, want to adjust your meds.

Are you on any medication? Do you drink enough fluids?

Dehydration can drop blood volume decreasing BP.

If that is for me I take 7.5 Bisoprolol and Mid dose Entresto 25mg Eplerenone 75mg Aspirin 10mg Statin and Omeprazole. 16 % of myHeart Muscle is non functioning. EF is Low 40s but otherwise fine. I asked the question because the 47 is a little low for me !!

You need to drink more water also are you feeling crazy dizzy when it’s low. I was in hospital two weeks ago with a a bad reaction to some antibiotics and it caused me to have crazy high and crazy low blood pressure. I was told to drink off paramedics to bring my blood pressure up. Obviously that didn’t help me as I was rushed into hospital for few days. Also heart specialist stopped all my medication. Still not back on them all yet.

I thought that perhaps if you are on a BB then you could stop taking it.However if you have heart failure then the BB would help with that and it cannot be stopped.

Drink more fluids and ask if you can add some salt to your diet.

I think a low diastolic is of more significance than the systolic reading so suggest you speak to your GP
