I’m currently weaning myself under cardiologist supervision off an extra beta blocker that I no longer need. It’s going fine, but sometimes when I’m sitting down my HR will be as low as 46. My resting HR is currently 51 on my Fitbit. It had been 88 with an overactive thyroid which has now gone away hence its back to a low level. As I’m weaning myself off I’m sure it will rise a little so not too worried but is there a level that would be too low at rest?

What is a low heart rate?
That’s great, thank you. I’m not unduly worried as it’s usually around 57 resting anyway. X
my resting HR is usually in low 50’s.. going down to low or mid 40’s during the night.. been feeling tired and lightheaded for months but Practice nurse said not to be concerned unless it gets lower than 40
Mine is at 43 most of the time when I am resting. Below 40 is when the doctors stand up and take notice I have found. I went to the doctor's for my yearly blood tests and blood pressure tests and my heart rate was 44. A few days later I was called back for a retest as the doctor was worried. The result was 40. The nurse didn't want to report this as it was likely to cause more problems. But I insisted she did and to put a note on it that said for him to read my records. Never heard another thing. I'm fine. But have to watch how fast I stand up as I can get dizzy if I get up too quickly. I am fine health and a very fit 66 year old now.
But this is me and we are all different and if it's bothering you talk to your GP. That's what they are there for.
