Experiencing above along with chest pain over past Week. Stats all normal. Replacement AVR last year, surgery was traumatic- wrong size valve - had to be replaced- surgical mess caused a clot and HA. Had to be resuscitated when having angioplasty to remove clot. Artery had to be stented. Recurring effusions and pericarditis since then. Probably have PTSD as get very anxious. Keen to hear anyone with both right & left arm pain. Might be muscular after the open heart surgery. Other half trying to help saying it is just anxiety 😟 but pains are all real. Been up and down like this almost weekly since last July 2020. Wondered if it could be Bisoprolol.??

I'm on bisoprolol and haven't experienced this but we are all different. Have you spoken to your gp or cardio rehab nurse? They will be able to advise you. I would definitely get it checked out. Good luck

I haven't experienced any pain just numbness and tingling sensations at times. With all that you've been through I wouldn't hesitate to get checked over just to be on the safe side. Best wishes.

Hi. I'm very new to all this, no expert in any way and have no idea whether my experience is relevant to you. I started taking bisoprolol, aspirin and atorvastatin about 7 weeks ago as I was diagnosed with angina. About 2-3 weeks or so ago I started feeling very achy, particularly both arms and shoulders, but also hips and by last week could barely hold my arms up. GP sent me to the hospital for blood tests and ECG, and all came back fine. I asked whether this could be related to the statins, and the consultant thought yes, even though there was no detectable muscle breakdown. She told me to stop taking them for a week and discuss again with GP. I definitely feel better now, not having taking them for a week, but have no idea if they really were the reason and I probably will have to start taking them or something similar again anyway.

Hi, I have been taking Bisoprolol for SVT’s. My dose was upoed from 2.5 mg to 5.00 mg and the muscle pain in horrendous. Started at the back of my knees, then thighs, neck and arms. I too, can’t lift my arms very high. In the morning the pain makes me cry as I try to get out of bed. Dr has reduced back down to 2.5 mg one week ago. Still the same pains at the moment though.
