Hi guys,

Some of you may have read last week my post about being told to stop Bisoprolol ahead of my Exercise test (which is tomorrow).

Well my last dose was 2.5mg at 8am in Monday and nothing since. Ive noticed today ive had a bit of chest pain on the right hand side. Now however its getting worse and its causing me abit of anxiety. My exercise test is at 3pm tomorrow and just want to get it over with. Not sure if this pain ia a withdrawal or not. Any experiences would be appreciated.

Hi, Danni, I had to stop mine due to not suiting my asthma, but I didn't get. No chest pain or such, I think yours could be due Anxiety and as your worried also.

The right side of my chest has been sort of aching all day but thought it may be muscular. Its been getting worse and silly me i have used Dr Google. ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ™„I shouldn't of used google i know but scrolling through some old posts on here some people have mentioned it.

Hi, I had to stop mine a while ago but didn't notice any new pains, I was already experiencing pains but nothing new when I stopped. It maybe anxiety but I'm not a doctor so only a thought .

Did you have any withdrawals at all? I was apprehensive about stopping it but cardiac clinic said take none for this exercise test tomorrow so havent had any since Monday.

Hi,I was on 2.5mg and I reduced to 1.25mg with no pain. I then reduced to 0.625mg and noticed a little pain that could have been withdrawal or anxiety , not sure which. I am now back on 1.25mg with no problems. Let us know how the stress test goes tomorrow.

Stress test today at 2:40 so will update then. Had a letter through just now for MRI on the 3rd Dec. I am thankful these appointments are all coming thick and fast. Cardiologist will then let me know whats going on when hes looked at the results for the 7 day monitor, stress test and MRI. Maybe we will have a clearer pic. Has anyone had an MRI before? I have to consent to some sort of dye injection too if its required.

Does a pain on the right hand side mean that your heart is affected ?

I don't think so. Your heart is on your left. Mostly pain in the left part of the body is a call for concern. Like pain in left arm, pain in left side of chest. For right side I have no idea since it's only the lungs.

Hi. I was on 5mg bisoprolol then went to 2.5mg for a few months and now have been on 1.25mg for the last week or so. Did this because I felt my rhr was to low. Mid to high 40s. Also felt very lightheaded and a bit dizzy most of the day and hissing in my ears all the time. Did this on my own without consulting my cardiologist. Do not know whether it is the bisoprolol or maybe a mild vertigo. It has been a few days now. Hissing in ears is still there. Lightheadedness is subsiding, rhr is upper 50s. Am also doing vertigo exercise daily. Will try it for a few weeks before consulting doctor. I would think you have to give it some time. Hope this helps.

I think it's the anxiety that's causing the chest pains. Try to relax. Do some breathing exercises and see if it helps. Stay calm

Well im home from my exercise treadmill test. First of the team were great, doing it in a mask was difficult. Waiting for the result to go back to the cardiologist now. Have an appt with him in April
