Aw not a good day honestly didn't sleep well was sweating so much and as usual my cat was lying all over me making it worse. Well the pain in my arm is awful and I stood up after eating lunch and the dizziness and I felt well off balance. I'm keeping an eye on it because I'm a bit concerned I have emailed my hospital and I will do 111 online if I'm not happy with how I feel. I am resting but my left arm feels like someone squeezing it its horrible.

It's just pain in my left arm northing else I feel silly for even worrying. If it was anything wouldn't I have pain in other other places 😕

I still think you need to dial 111, don't forget you had the dizziness too. You're not wasting anyone's time. Now do it please. x

I did hun thanks x I did assessment over the phone and he said that I need to speak to a clinician straight away but there's no one available because of how busy they are so they will call me back.

If you feel any worse while waiting for that call you must dial 111. Good luck.

I did 111 and they said to contact gp now but I can't they always say to come between 8-10 in the morning. So I will see how I feel.

Yeah me too, the pain gets worse when i lift my arm I'm not sure what means.

I have heart failure but controlled with medication.I like you suffer with left arm pain. I am putting mine down to low b12. I finally have got my b12 injections back of which the GP says my levels are 140 this has been going on for the last eighteen months. I am now anaemic but since having the last three b12 ijections my left arm pain has gone. I would say to you get your b12 checked it’s worth doing so. Good luck.

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toPollyanna23

Wow that's a good point, funny you mention that I did have it checked in January and I was put on b12 tablets for a few months then it went straight back to normal shot up from 183 to 300 and something so I think that's all good plus I had blood test at hospital yesterday and they didn't mention anything about that I mean they probably weren't looking for that but they did take 3 tubes of blood so they were clearly checking for more then one thing x 😅😉

It's just pain in left arm now dizziness is gone which is good. ok I will but I don't want to waste anyone's time 😳. Which I feel I am it's probably a pulled muscle.

it may very well be.. but it might NOT!! That’s why you can’t take the chance. My daughter is a Paramedic and urges you, and anyone else in the same “oh, I’m not that sure, I don’t to look like an idiot or depriving someone who is seriously I’ll and need an ambulance, if it’s nothing serious” camp she has attended too many times where the team cannot do anything to help a patient who has left it too late to make the call. So please call if the pain/sensations do not go away Otherwise, you may not get a second chance to post such as this xx

Thanks I did call in the end at 5.00 and got a call back at 8 then got there at 9.15 and got home at 2.47 x I agree!! Could of been heart attack. Ecgs were bit odd looking but bloods were normal x

Valentina98 profile image
Valentina98 in reply toYumz199725

I didn't actually have any pain in my arm after my heart attack. I had dizziness and felt sick plus a headache.

When I had the cardiac arrest I felt light headed and I had what I thought was indigestion

Sorry 😔

I'm glad you've called. Hopefully it's nothing, let us know when you speak to someone

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toValentina98

Thanks val that helps alot! I had the dizziness but that was about 2 something so about 4 hours ago and hasn't come back since which is good! I probably just overdone it this week I did bout 46 000 steps this week and went to gym and went shopping. No wonder I feel like this! What am I like aye still glad I did 111 and they didn't say it was nothing so must be something but probably not heart related?? As you can see my anxiety is great 😅😳💔

Hi - when I had mine the pain(feeling in shoulder blades and down arm) completely went away - truth is I was forcibly persuaded to go to A&E - luckily so did so please don’t concern yourself with wasting peoples time - you won’t be and better to be safe - hoping all is well for you very soon

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toMWIC

Aw hi and thank you they didn't seem Concerned with pain in arm which is good, but they said to send copies of my ecgs to my heart hospital and to ring them and see if I can arrange an echo because my heart murmur was very loud could here with a stethoscope! And feel it in pulse in my wrists. So they obviously think something happened but they don't know what it was didn't show up in bloods but my blood pressure was higher then normal (135/75)- should be 120/80. Well for me I mean they said was good but I didn't agree!. Thank you so much for your message. Aw they did blood test in my very small boney wrist well hurt felt soooo sick and faint after plus I was exhausted at that point. Got home at 2.47! 😑😅

My partner had a heart attack and he had intermittent pain in his shoulder. They knew it was cardiac pain because it was intermittent. If it was muscular it wouldn’t go away.

Just small update : still waiting for call back I have taken two paracetamol aswell for headache and lightheadedness and notice pain gets worse on exertion which is annoying as I'm trying to do dinner. Will let you guys know when they call me back 📞😉🔙

It's definitely a concern. I know what you are thinking am I waisting people time? The trouble with all that we are going through can be a multitude of issues. Anxiety, the heat, too much exercise, lack of water, medication, we don't know. But we do know something is not right. Need to phone 111, however what ever needs to be done. The only place that can check you out is the hospital. Where they can do the ecg bloods and other checks. It is frustrating with the state the nhs is in but. Even an ambulance would be a good starting point because the paramedics can do the basic checks such as ecgs and other none invasive checks to see if you are OK. I hope you get seen soon.

Yumz199725 in reply to

A thanks for your reply. Yeah I am still waiting to get a call back Im finding I am lightheaded and really thirsty and bit sickly so I had something to eat feel bit better. Hope someone calls soon been waiting since 5 x

in reply toYumz199725

How are you getting on? I know exactly how you are feeling. Do you stick or twist. But it is your body your health. But under the current situation with the nhs it is so frustrating. Keep strong hope everything is OK

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply to

Thanks 😊. I stuck with it and was seen 3 hours later and finally got home at 2.47. They said if my blood test would of come back as abnormal then they were gona keep me in. So glad it wasn't anything to worry about but still glad I went as it could of easily of been a heart attack! 💔X

in reply toYumz199725

That's the thing. The hospital is the only place that can quickly do a blood test. There and then. I believe the pathology labs are 24hrs. So even if you tried to see a doctor or someone else they carnt do quick blood tests to eliminate problems. Also the ecgs will highlight issues. And then they put the two together to be able to work out what may be wrong. Once they have that data then they can work out if they need to go further. So it was good that they sent you home. Take care.

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply to

Yeah your right I was glad to go home finally at 2.47 lol. They said my blood tests were fine 😉. Just ecgs they were adamant that I send copies to heart hospital even though they kept saying was fine 😕😳x

Yeah true thanks hun. If they don't call in a few hours time Im just gona go A&E and get checked huge waste of time I expect but will see x

Having had two trips to A&E in the last couple of weeks I too worry about "wasting" people's time. Both teams of paramedics put me straight about that in no uncertain terms 🙂. It's never fun but much better to be safe than sorry, especially as you say things get worse on exertion. All the best.

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toHrty

Aw thanks mate. Yeah I'm waiting for taxi to A & E they called me back and told me to go because of my history with my heart.

Hrty profile image
Hrty in reply toYumz199725

Hope all goes well, I always take a book in with me now. Tends to be the default position, my calls to 111 dont actually take long. As soon as I say I've had a HA and have unexplained pain a crew are sent, tests done and transported to hospital for more monitoring.

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toHrty

Aw that's good glad they do all that. I don't think I explained it very well on the form they don't give you much room to fill in form for the reason your hear. 3 hour wait! What a joke it's literally why I didnt won't to bother with this 😒🙄😐😢

Hrty profile image
Hrty in reply toYumz199725

I tend to find I move through the system a bit more quickly if taken in by paramedics than when I take myself up there. Didn't quite pan out that well when I actually had the HA. After initial tests was stuck in waiting room for 4+ hours until the bloods came back and spurred them into action 🙃. I was so bored I was all for going home, eek.

Yumz199725 profile image
Yumz199725 in reply toHrty

Aww I hope I'm not sitting here for 4 hours I'm absolutely exhausted as it is. Aw so fed up honestly. Glad they spurred into action for you.

I slept for over 10 hrs the first night out of hospital. To add insult to injury I've now gone deaf in my right ear, I suspect from putting ear plugs in to try and drown out some of the noise whilst in hospital. Made for an interesting guitar lesson this afternoon trying to hear the metronome 🎸🎸🎸

Aww you poor thing hope it's not permanent! Maybe get that checked 😉. Yeah I don't blame you sleeping that long I slept 2.47 till 8 then went back to sleep for another 4 hours x 😅

Is there anyone who could bring your meds to you? I’m guessing they won’t give you any of your prescription medication in a&e?

I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry, you’re in the safest place.

Hi yeah was a very long night! I got home at 2.47. Was a 3 hour wait to be seen then I was seen and checked over and they did ecgs and bloods took few hours but I expected that plus they were very busy. They asked me to send copies of ecg to my heart hospital just to for them to double check and to possibly arrange an echo they seemed concerned with how loud my murmur was just by listening to pulse in my wrist and chest with stethoscope so yeah that scared me a bit not gona lie. x
