Right sided pain.

A strange one I had OHS 2 years ago for a Thoracic Ascending Aortic Aneurysm at the root. Had AFIB and Tachycardia in the following months. But no real issues since on the heart side. Have spent the last 2 weekend in hospital after a Cranial CSF Leak repair.

Last Saturday night in hospital I developed pain down the right from my ear down my right chest. Lasted about 10 minutes. Spoke to a nurse who took my blood pressure and heartrate and she told the duty DR. But they weren't overly concerned.

Last night at home I had the exact same pain. Checked my watch for my heartrate, but nothing out the ordinary. It's like a dull pain right down the right side and then goes after about 10 minutes.

Never had till last week. Should I be concerned. Anyone had a similar experience. I'm on bisoprolol, aspirin, losartan and artovastatin. Thanks.

Hi, I am on the exact same meds as you. With regards to aches and pains it’s a daily occurrence for me, right arm, left arm, neck, chest you name it and I have, aches would be a better description, every day. I have always been told that this can be a side effect of Statins? I guess I’ve just accepted that but almost 3 yrs on from a “mild” heart attack, I am still on alert every time an ache appears! I get it in my hands too but moves from place to place rather than staying in one place. I don’t know if this is any help? I used to be on Ramipril for blood pressure but it gave me a bad cough and so changed to Losartan but can’t say for sure that changed anything other than not making me cough. I do feel slightly more reassured that some of the meds can be to blame for these aches and pains but is it the Statins? All I know is I didn’t get these aches prior to the HA and meds so ...........? Not sure this is of any help to you ?

Yes that's of great help. It was just strange that this happened twice out of the blue. Other than that I've had no indication of anything untoward. I may mention it the next time I see my Cardiologist if it occurs again. I thought it may have been a side effect from my more recent surgery but my Consultant for that didn't seem to think so. I'll see how it goes over the next few weeks. Thanks again.
