hi there,

has the increase had any effect on your angina? Do you have a GTN spray? I think you are right to be concerned

GTN spray is what you would use 2 sprays under your tongue when you feel pain

Hi

Have you been diagnosed with angina (I only ask because you don`t appear to have a GTN spray) and if so it would help to know what drug regime you are on. The angina pain in its self is not really anything to worry about if it subsides when you stop exertion. If you havn`t had a recent ECG then I would ask your GP for one as this would help to see if there are any heart rhythm changes.

Good luck

Steve

Hi petersutton

As others have said, if you have a GTN spray try using it once you experience the pain to see if it helps. If you are active when the pain comes on, then stop and sit down and follow the instructions given with your GTN spray.

Getting in touch with your GP might be a good idea, just to explain how often you are having chest pain. If they have increased your Ramipril to help relieve your chest pain but it hasn't helped, then it will be worthwhile telling them so they can review your other medications.

If you experience severe chest pain please call 999. If you want to talk through your symptoms with a cardiac nurse call our Helpline on 0300 330 3311.

Best of luck!

Ashleigh
