Hi everyone well tomorrow is the day I go for my transplant assessment. My nerves are starting to kick in now. I have everything packed and all reddy to go. It’s going to be an early start and I will glad when I’m there. I will keep u all posted with how I’m getting on

Aww, it's hard but you will be ok. I felt exactly the same as you last September going in for OHS. No Visitors, my Son had to just drop me off and I was in pieces. The Staff were absolutely fantastic though. Just remember, New Heart, New You!! Good Luck xx

Have they said how long the decision yes-no to list you will take? I'm guessing at least towards the end of the week as they'll all need to evaluate your test results and be completely up-to-date on your charted medical history plus the interviews to gauge your psychological status about a potential transplant.

No matter how long it takes them to decide (may be as long as fortnight from what I've heard and read), the waiting, as you know, is going to be the hardest part - be sure to keep up here on the forum, and did you remember to pack your MP3 or Kindle reader so you can pass some offline time whilst waiting to hear?

And no matter what they decide - we are all TeamTori here, you go, girl!

That’s so kind I think I will know the Decision on if they will transplant me or not before I get discharged. I will see a lot of different people including counsellors/psychiatrist. I’m all packed and reddy for the week. My carer will be here at 6.45 tomorrow morning to help me shower and double check I have everything xxx

Early start so no hanging around fretting. Straight off, there and get settled in with your lovely Dad to help you through the first hour/appt. You will then be so busy that the time will fly by and everyone I'm sure will take the greatest of care of you. You will be in my thoughts as always. Hi Tori. Good luck. You're a very brave young lady. Waiting to go in is the worstpart. Once you At the hospital with your lovely dad .leave everything to the wonderful nurses and Dr's. Everybody on this site (and elsewhere I'm sure) will be waiting to hear how you get on. Of course it is daunting when you get the green light but the sooner the better now and once you are in hospital, as you know, they take over and make it all seem almost matter of fact - you will b e a VIP patient and they will take very good care of you.
