Few GTN sprays on my positive walks.

Got my trainers out, 3/4 leggings I used to wear, sunglasses on, all dressed for the occasion!!!

If anyone was behind me they’d have thought what on earth is she doing.

I started off slowly then on to a sensible walking pace, oh wow I thought, this is wonderful.

Then!!!!! It started, aching across my chest and down my arm, slowed down and has some spray, while I was sitting on the edge of a very prickly corn field, I decided that I’d go back 😢

On a positive note I did it 🎉🎉 and have the sharp bits of corn still in my leggings to prove I got that far.

Live in the middle of nowhere, fields all around so that was my only choice.

So I think i achieved something. Need to do it several times per week but maybe not quite so enthusiastic with the sporty look 😂😂😂

Well done! Take it slow and gradually build up, you’ll get there! I’ve managed two walks recently after several months of not being able to...and will get back to gentle Pilates this week!

Think I may even get some of those children’s stickers on a chart when I’ve done well, see how many I get, probably get done with ‘ must try harder’ 😂😂

Well done to you too 🎉🎉 I found it a bit scary, goodness knows why, but I’ve started. Is so I’ll finish 🙄 !!!

I think m I may try Pilates soon.

Let me l is how you get on 😀

So well done. One day you will do a slow jog to the cornfield...... take good care and make those sporty leggings optional 😁

Well done Fluffy,

you got out and started!

And maybe like you said start small and if you only have the fields for company let someone know which field you are heading to as it will make you feel more safe😊

And I say always wear the full on sports gear those are the rules 😂😂😂

When I go walking have a top that says breathe son bought it he said just to remind me that’s a must! I am 72 now and go out in trainers and a hoodie! Think that’s sports clothing though maybe not, I was power walking thinking I was doing well eyes on the next lamp post when a young woman past me as if I was standing still! But hey ho I couldn’t have done that before my op!

Hi 080311

Oh yeah I’d put a hoodie and trainers in the sporty category.

Keep going with that amazing power walking, don’t worry about people going past you they’ve probably been running for years 🤭

I’ll put you a well done sticker on my chart for you 😇

I bet 😊 Spoons ladles pah!! Think I'd better borrow them instead.

Can just about manage 15mins walking but certainly won't be breaking any land speed records anytime soon and no inclines or hills! I defo pay for it after too 🤪

Well done. We have a few small hills and slowly they became easier as we did the walk during lockdown. I have OK stamina now, but still need to build more as occasionally get that tight feeling.

I try pushing through a bit, but stop if it doesn't. I think just keep going.

I also do exercise videos on YouTube: Leslie Sansone walking videos, Jane Fonda Prime Time for BeFit, etc. I type in senior exercise, and loads come up.

Hi ellj

Yes it does, that’s brilliant, do you have a matching headband and really go for it!!

Should I get a sticker ready for you as well. 🤭🤭

Well done for getting out there, I’m just going to have to get one now.... I hold my phone with my music on the go, I think Dino rod colour is the one for me.

Trouble is as it’s quiet here, I dare not go to far as even my phone looses signal. Not great being alone and start having pain, 🥴

ellj in reply toFluffybee

No that is always a worry here too. Poor signal.

I love the idea of the dayglo orange 😄 sporty case. Go for it 🤣

Everyone knows I am as mad as a hatter so I may just get the headband , yo !!!

Do it !!!!! I’m known for my hair, someone was delivering a parcel, the post office told them where I live and said if the woman with lots of blonde curly hair answers you’ve got the right house 😂😂

What about leg warmers for a cold morning, to match ??? 🥴

ellj profile image
ellj in reply toFluffybee

Definitely, leg warmers soon, how about we see crocheted flowers on them to brighten peoples day

🌸🏵️🌼

Ps don't forget the tinsel for seasonal touch in December and I may go for reindeer 🦌 antlers too.

😃🤣❤️

Now after reading about leg warmers all I can hear in my head is the music from “Fame” and them singing I’m going to live for ever! Could be an anthem for us Hearties!

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply to080311

Do you know what !!! I thought of that when I wrote it 😂😂😂 it certainly could be our anthem. 💃 🕺 😂

ellj profile image
ellj in reply to080311

Yay, I can dance my way down the lane to that 🤣💃

Oooh now you’re talking!!!!!! I’m going off piste for Xmas!!! cow bells on each leg for the weight to strengthens my thighs, bit noisy though especially as I’ll be faster by then, instead of flowers for now, I’m going for seasonal goods so a courgette strapped to each leg warmer.

Now that’s got to be good for your heart and soul seeing that walk past your house 😂😂😂🤗😎
