Amlodipine side effects

Hi anyone had shortness of breath / palpitations/ feeling nausea

I’ve been on these a week and a half just a low dosage 5mg I thought about trying another week before I go back to doctors

Not very nice tablets Lots of reports of side effects with these on this group I had leg ulcers with them That have left me with permanent scars There are other meds I am on Doxazosin 4 and 2 mg tablets no problems with those Good luck hope you get it sorted Brian

I have been on amlodipine since March 2019, originally on 10mg and then reduced to 5mg.On 10mg my legs and feet swelled hugely and because of this lack of drainage a little insect bite became cellulitis!!I've had palpitations too but I had them a bit before.I'm on propanolol for them now.Thing is amlodipine does a marvellous job of keeping my bp down which was dangerously high when I rocked up at A&E in March 2019 and my side effects have diminished over time.Hope you get sorted out soon.

I was taken off these due to swelling in my ankles and legs no other side effects though

Taken Amlodipine 5mg for 2 years, no problems, just lower bp which is what was needed. Tina

I think my legs are slightly swelling, definitely short of breath when doing anything

I might give the doctor a call regarding shortness of breath
