Hi, thanks for those that helped me through the last week. Trip to hospital for 5 days investigations. ECGs and Bloods fine. February 2019 when I had 2 stents fitted to 1 artery I was told I had issues with 2 more arteries with lesions. Turns out each were 60% blocked. I didn't have an angiogram this visit, I don't know why as the cardio dept know my heart is fine after about 9 ECGs. I was diagnosed with Angina. I am now on isorsobide, Ranolazine and bisoprolol as well as my normal ramipril, aspirin and statins. My confusion is with the way forward. Angina and the way it came on me in a short measured space of time says to me that there has been more narrowing of the arteries. If I was at 60% last year surely I should have been sent for an angiogram to see what % they are now? I have been instructed to see how this new medication works and visit the cardiologist in 28 days time. Surely if they send me for an angiogram then with the new meds working it wont show a problem. Or am I missing something?

Hi, sorry to hear about the angina returning. The meds wouldn’t make any impact on the angio as any blockage would still show. I would recommend keeping a log of when the angina is bad and what if anything triggers it. Sometimes I’ve found it beneficial to have a list of questions ready when talking to consultants so I don’t forget to ask what’s really concerning me. Hope you get a conclusion, stay safe.
