BP readings
Sorry Jollyjohnny, your post is rather hard for me to understand. Can you clarify your figures and concerns? Thanks
Hello and welcome to the forum! On average your BP seems slightly on the high side. Was there a precursor to the bedtime reading; dropped off the armchair and woke with a start, drunk a few too many, etc.
You should go and see your GP with a note of your readings. Also take your meter for X-reference as although quality has improved in recent years some are not particularly accurate.
One thing that helps with BP is a healthy lifestyle although sometimes medication is needed. This means achieving and maintaining a healthy BMI, a healthy diet (Mediterranean recommended), drinking within the guidelines, regular exercise and no smoking (or recreational drugs).
The frequent urination could be caused by worry although if you get discomfort and a temperature it could be a UTI (urinary tract infection). If you suspect this seek medical advice.

Hello Michael,
I very rarely drink and never at home - I was judge as a sober, however I made an exception yesterday and had a very small (2 bottle tops) medicinal brandy. Drugs - none, ever. I try walk a few miles daily, alternating my pace, avoid fatty foods, ready meals. Any meats (no red meat) are done in the oven with peppers in olive oil, I probaly don't eat as much fish as we should, which is usually mackerel. The urination isn't a constant thing if that makes sense, in fact I'm convinced it's the body working to expel excess fluids causing problems for other organs i.e. heart and heart failure as when I cough (not often) it's been, a couple of times white phlegm.
I will try to get an urgent appointment -good luck to me there! And thanks again for your response,
The fact that taking aspirin dropped your BP and pulse rate suggests to me some form of restriction of your blood vessels. Aspirin thins the blood so making blood flow easier. I wonder whether you are going through a period of stress which can affect blood vessels.
As suggested, I would arrange to see your GP as soon as possible and take your monitor with you for reference. Early intervention is better than letting things develop if there is a background issue.
In light of the high BP and the episode of tachycardia, I would get checked out by your doc.
