Still a problem.

Hi everyone, been to Doctors today as I still have the squitters, two weeks now, GP was a locum as mine on holiday, but she listened to me and examined me too. She was concerned at how pale I was, is it any wonder! Sample sent to lab but if it's clear I have got to have a colonoscopy because it might be sinister. Full blood count which is urgent is being done on 18th! She also changed my bisoprolol to another beta blocker as I have felt so tired, lethargic and not interested in life since taking them. The pharmacist is phoning me in a week to see how I feel taking the new medication. Thanks for your support and concern.

Oh what a pest. Something else to worry about. 18th seems a long time to wait for a blood test that takes acoupke of minutes. We are so lucky we can just walk into blood taking at the hospital choose GP or consultant and wait, or go to ASDA . Mind you its quick at GP practice too. Can you ring and explain and say you'll take a cancellation. I don't think they have any idea the anxiety they generate.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds awful. A random thought. I had something similar a few years ago and decided to cut out different food groups to see if I could find a link. Found out the wheat/bread/gluten was causing real problems for me. I stopped eating it and improved. Might be something like that, that’s aggravated by meds? Anyway - as I say a random thought. Hope it clears up.

We did the same with my husband before he was officially diagnosed. Of course going gf made a huge improvement in his health, and then he had to force glutenated foods down himself for an agonising month before the GP could do the test (which of course came back positive).

Very similar story here- eventually diagnosed as Coeliac (which is easy to manage these days). Dairy is another favourite for causing this sort of problem- I’d try skipping both for a few days if the medical profession is moving slow (as long as you use substitutes to get the nutrition). If it helps, start experimenting.

Just a further thought, are you on aspirin and a PPI. If so, the PPI can have that effect. It seems to be what I have!!

Thank-you for the update and I hope you'll update again once the test results are in - hope you don't have to have the scoping (it's 'uncomfortable')!

Urgent blood test on the 18th! Doesn’t sound very urgent to me. Does your GP know what urgent means? Why can’t they do one now? Hope you feel better soon.
