Since I've been hit by a coronary problem just over 2 months ago I've progressively felt more tired as each day passes. Is this usual? Can I expect this to improve after the scheduled CABG surgery?

Assuming you’re on medication at the minute,that can make you tired,combined with your condition I would say it’s quite normal,I’m in a similar position waiting for surgery and I certainly feel fatigued,hope it all goes well for you.

Ask your GP to get a blood count done. You might be anaemic.
