I was signed off in the end for 16 weeks in 4-week batches, as for tiredness, I believe it's normal I'm still tired nearly 6 months later.

Hello :-)

It is very early days and yes it is normal to feel tired and maybe for a while

Listen to your body and if you need to rest then rest :-)

See how you are feeling when you get nearer the six weeks and if you are not feeling fit enough then speak with your Doctor to get a sick note

We are all different in how long it takes us to feel well so don't worry slowly you will gain more energy

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Hi. And welcome. I agree with others. I had an HA in August last year and only returned to work in January. It really does take time and my tiredness still persists especially in the early evening. I’m still not sure if this is from my HA or from the meds. Take it easy and don’t rush back, no matter how frustrating it is. Good luck with your recovery. Chris

Two weeks is early in your recovery, after a HA. You don’t mention if you had any interventions, or new meds. Either could tire you out more.

Hi Goldcats. I agree with everyone. Two weeks is still very early days in your recovery. Take it easy and listen to your body...if it says tired...then rest.I had my heart attack and stent in April last year and didnt return to work until October. Everyone is different and depends on how you adjust to meds etc but definitely listen to your body. Take care and best wishes. Julie x

No intervention 2.5mg Bisoprolol Furmate daily. Maybe it’s the tablets.

Tiredness is extremely normal and will probably continue for longer than you think. Have you been contacted by cardiac rehab? If not, ring the hospital and ask when it starts and I wouldn't consider work until I'd done the course. Yes, bisopralol could be making it worse. I had to have bisop changed as I couldn't stay awake.
