The BHF website has a list of heart friendly insurance companies but, as you are awaiting a procedure, don’t be surprised if either you are turned down flat or anything cardiac related is excluded. You will be seen as a high risk in insurance terms and many companies will steer well clear of you.
I also have Aorta Stenosis and awaiting surgery. I went away to Majorca for a week at Easter. I got my insurance through Tesco, did it all online, declared everything and it was £80. I thought that was very good.
Staysure were good for me. however it is a fact that companies are nore likely to accept you the further you are away from the last intervention
If you are a woman, or have a female partner, you or she can join a local Womens Institute grout & immediately join their group travel insurance policy with Open Travel. (I did.) No need to state any medical conditons. £195 for the years multi trip insurance. If you don't travel often it might not be worth it for you.
