Hi everyone. Find this connection really helpful. Has anyone had a recent heart failure (December) and tried to get travel insurance to go to the States. If so pl can u post details or where to start looking . Thank you .

I was diagnosed with aortic stenosis/moderate severe in November and will need valve replacement due to an unknown nisculid valve. I managed to get annual insurance through my Bank by adding just £200 to my account charge for the US.

Thank you for definite information. I’ve been turned down several times by insurers on BHF list and am beginning to despair. Appreciate the info. Thank you.

Upvote for Staysure from me - I have recommended a number of times. However, no intention of going outside UK until after my bypass as currently my walking is very limited!

If you are female over 50 you can join a Womens Institute group & then join their group annual insurance policy with Open Travel, who ask no medical questions. Clare
