Hi there - sorry to hear about all your ICD shocks, and I hope that you're recovering well. There's a thread here that might be useful for you: healthunlocked.com/bhf/post...

Take care, Chris

Hi Freebird. I missed this post somehow. So sorry to hear that you've been having such a time of it. How are you getting on with your new medication? Hope you're home and feeling a bit better/not too stressed by the whole ordeal. Lots of love xx

Hi I had similar experience back in July unfortunately mine shocked 27 times in approx. 3 hours not a lot of fun I must admit. But after a stay in hospital and a few adjustments to ICD home and back to work and should be driving again 1/2/18. I was put on amiodarone normal saturation to begin with finally getting down to 200mg a day. Found it hard to tolerate this dosage with nausea dizzy spells temperature fluctuations especially at night and horrible cold sweats. However dose reduced to 100mg a day and a lot of side effects have eased or gone altogether. Still get a little nausea and dizziness but this could be a combination of the other meds we are advised to take. So I would say give it time and discuss with cardiac consultant/nurse or GP any side effects you may experience. Take care and be as positive as possible. Glen
