Not content with one problem!!

Just returned from GP appt (yes actually saw one!). Turns out body not content giving me one problem wants to dish out double trouble ๐Ÿคช.

I now have to contend with a type of vertigo!!! Or to give it it's proper title Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo or BPPV for short. At least it shouldn't last long and is related to an inner ear problem. Basically the crystals have gone rogue and settled in the wrong place ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿฅด

Got some anti sickness tablets to take 3x a day and some head turning/lying down head turn exercises to do 3x a day on the bed (in case I fall down!).

Least I know it isn't anything to do with the chest pains or spasms ๐Ÿค—however they do want me to keep an eye on my blood pressure as this is fluctuating ๐Ÿ˜”

You have my sympathy as I was in hospital for four days with BPPV at the start of the year. I had to ring 999 as I had collapsed and was unable to stand up. In A&E they performed the Dix-Hallpike test for BPPV. This resulted in a massive technicolour yawn. My BP also peaked at about 220/110! Hope it improves soon.

Thank you. Was in bed Sunday night and room just started spinning which set the nausea off been happening every night since. During the day feel really lightheaded and sick but put this down to lack of sleep as been woken up with my chest pain for several nights on the trot. Also thought it could be too much GTN. But when it happened once I got out of bed this morning thought better be on the safe side and ring doctor. Nearly fell over when she gave me a face to face appt!!! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

How's things going with you?? My woes are insignificant to compared to what you've been through.

Wow ...you are lucky ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚whatโ€™s this thing you call Drs๐Ÿ˜‚

We canโ€™t go to the surgery unless you do a e...email form on line then a week later the dr phones you, if your in, never know ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธtell you what to do first for yourself, then a nurse will phone you if you need bloods, week -ten days later you go in receptionist says โ€œ oh you have a long appointment โ€œ seemed really put out ....is it the same everywhere๐Ÿ˜

Half of the GPs at my surgery seem to be working from home, so phone calls only. It's the poor nurses and HCAs manning the real life building!

Same here, I was told tge dizzying was caused by my inner right ear needed de- waxing so I did the drop thingy, for two weeks seems ok now but really lightheaded and dizzy still, not to bad in bed itโ€™s when I am active gardening, walking, feel terrible.... but I do suffer from dripping nose blocked sinuses, wether itโ€™s got worse I do t know I can hear ok ,bit of a buzzing ...Sorry not much of a โ€œ what to doโ€ reply ,

Don't know how it's happened no ear infection or hard wax. The Crystal's have become dislodged and attached themselves elsewhere in the ear canal. My shakra's are obviously misaligned!! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Yes I nearly fell over when she asked if I could get to the surgery so she could check me over! Wont have me in to check on my angina though?!

You did make me laugh. I tell my doctor NO more! I had the same problem as you last year, took the medication offered (can't remember what), have problems remembering all the stuff I take now. It worked within 10 days and I've not had another problem since. Just stand up slowly if you can. Take care and hope all goes well for you.

Oh it's just as well we have a sense of humour eh?!! Got given Cinnarizine to help with the motion sickness. Blooming horrible feeling though finding the head movement exercises she's given me a nightmare! Have so far only just been able to cope with 2 repetitions (I'm supposed to do 5!!) each side everything just started spinning felt very disorientated so will leave it and try again this evening. The dog was highly amused! I went to put the kettle on felt like I was on a rolling ship - better go easy on the GTN spray today!!

Glad to hear that it soon cleared up for you and it's not recurred since - nice to have reassurance ๐Ÿ˜Š

I didn't do the exercises, I would have been sick all over the place. Very odd feeling, something I don't want again. I can't imagine taking the GTN with it, I'd miss the mouth and probably hit the eye. Careful does it. :-)

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ hilarious!!! That's just what I'd do as well. You really didn't miss out on the exercises - they're lethal!!! ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿคช

Oh Nijanoo I am amazed you are able to keep smiling through this latest curve ball thrown your way.

I hate feeling sick probably because I had dreadful sickness throughout all 3 of my pregnancies. I only stopped vomiting once the baby arrived.

I hope you feel better soon.

Aww thanks Milkfairy ๐Ÿ˜Š

Think it's my warped way of coping!

Yes I seem to remember saying some strong words to my midwife about "morning sickness" as mine was all day everyday!!

How are you doing?? This bloomin colder weather doesnt help things does it ๐Ÿฅถ๐Ÿฅถ

Hopefully it'll soon settle just got to persevere with the exercises ๐Ÿคข๐Ÿฅดand manage the stress levels a bit better as they think this is what might have brought it on ๐Ÿ™„

As my dad used to say that which does not kill you makes you that bit stronger ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi Ninjanoo ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Just thought Iโ€™d ask how you are getting on? Are you feeling any better? ๐Ÿค—

Hi Fluffybee!

Really sweet of you to ask with the week you've just had ๐Ÿ˜Š Hope the walnut whip went down a treat and you're feeling better now you've got Friday out the way.

Spinny spells at night are less often now thank goodness! Don't feel sick as much which is great ๐Ÿ˜ Still have to be mindful when I turn my head too quickly and bending down with my head down back to standing up. Feel a lot more lightheaded when I take my GTN spray so make sure I leave it a good while before moving about after ๐Ÿคฏ! But think it is definitely a lot less intense than it was - hurrah!!

Just got to try and get the ole ticker to behave with resting heart rate along with the blood pressure as that's getting a bit erratic apparently ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ- oh the joys!

How are you getting on with your medication now? Xx
