Any NICE guidelines?

Can anyone share UK treatment guidelines for psoriatic arthritis that doctors use? All I find when I look online at the NICE website is the guidelines for psoriasis which are no help. I want to know at what stage I should get more than painkillers (currently on etoricoxib as needed which does help and may be all i need for now, but i worry about disease progression).

Hi my Rheumatologist started me on methotrexate and then both the Methotrexate and leflunomide at the moment and I take 500/30 co codamol as often as needed for the pain. At my next appointment they are set to move to biotics so not too sure where I will end up. I would advise to get to a rheumatologist as soon as you can and ask for those treatments as NICE guidlines say you must have tried all of the treatments I am on before you can move to biotics. I wish you good luck and hope you get sorted. This is a good resource

Hi Angel, Sorry it has taken so long to reply - I don't visit this forum very often and don't seem to get updates in my feed.

Anyway, I think the guidelines you were looking for are the spondyloarthritis ones.

Hope that helps

AS I understand it, you probably should be on more than antiinflammatories if your disease is at all active. Fingers crossed you get some DMARDS soon..
