I am glad you have a hospital appointment to check all is in order. From what I remember of my menopausal days; your body can sometimes have a late or unexpected period after some months without; a last ditch attempt by the hormones to produce an egg - some women under 50 have been caught out and fallen pregnant thinking all was safe when there were some active hormones lurking!

Hopefully this will be your body's final fling and you will soon be safe and dry and not having to worry about the dreaded monthlies any more! Having gone through the temperature fluctuations and night sweats, I can reassure you life settles down and you start to enjoy life being free of those monthly moods and discomforts.
