I recently went on the 3 day military diet. I lasted for 4 days, however temptation did sneak in. I had 3 cheat days which I'm not proud of but I just started eating an actual healthy diet. Which contains of Veggies, Fruits, and Protein. Basically I'm trying to do the Paleo Diet. I am looking for anyone who can give any tips or advice.

My Diet Life-Style Today
TayloorFit,
Congratulations!!
You've taken the first and most difficult step which is to get started on a lifestyle change!!
I have lost 78 pounds in the past two amd a half years. I gained 100 pounds the first year I was given IV and oral prednisone to control my newly-diagnosed lupus in 1999. I lost the first thirty pounds by eating only at mealtime. I lost the last 48 pounds through medically-assistrd weight loss.
The most mportant part if the story is that I am now able to exercise because the weight loss reduced my knee and hip pain. I walk for an hour and a half every other day. Like you, I eat only protein and vegetables and a little fruit.
I am very careful about which vegetables I eat. I found that When I tried to reintroduce corn or carrots into my diet, I gained weight. Corn has more carbohydrate and carrots more sugar than the green vegetables I had been eating. So, for me, it's back to spinach, asparagus, broccoli, darg green leaf lettuce, kale and tomatoes. I eat chicken and fish for lunch and dinnet.
I have changed my attitude toward food. I onow this isn't necessary to lose weight but it helped me a lot. I no longer think of eating as pleasurable. Food is fuel, period. I do eat with other people and enjoy their company, but I am very aware of exactly how much I eat.
I lost weight with my husband. Having someone to cheer you on and keep you in check, whoever it is, is very helpful. If I drift downstairs to the fridge at 10 pm, he calls me on it! Because we both know It's better for me not to eat extra calories in the evening and he gently reminds me, I don't cheat.
Last, I no longer buy anything that I don't want to eat regularly. My husband and I have chosen never to have bread, cheese or ice cream in the house again. These are foods we really like that we tend to eat too much ofand that we know cause us to gain weight.
At 5'10" and 170 pounds, I am far from thin. But I am much hralthier than I was when morbidly obese at 248. I no longer need to take high blood pressure medication or daily prescription medication to control gastric esophogeal reflux disease.
Recently I went into a flare and had to take oral prednisone for 6 weeks. My appetite was tremendous, but I only allowed myself to eat more vegetables. I gained 4 pounds but was able to lise it once I stopped prednisone.
I don't know if any of this information is specifically helpful to you, but I hope it gives you and others an example that it can be done. For me it took two major lifestyle changes: diet and regular exercise. My attitude toward foid will be different forever, because I don't ever want to go back to feeling as bad as I did when I carried those extra 78 pounds.
I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey and beyond! I hope you will share your experiences with us here! I'm planning to follow your posts!

PS Please excuse all the typos. 😳 For some reason, I wasn't able to hop around with the cursor after I finished to correct them... 😖
The military diet is a 3 day specific meal plan already planned out for you. You consume 3 meals a day on a low calorie diet, while still receiving nutrients your body needs and not giving you anything you don't need. I used this diet to help me get into a healthier diet plan which so far has helped boost my metabolism.
P.S. If your not a fan of peanut butter or fish I recommend using something in the place of those foods if your going to try it.
