It's been so hot that it's hard to do much at all. I do hope you're all coping okay and if you have a tip on keeping cool, please let us know! asap

Lovely 😊

Yes we are and Baby the cat is driving us mad with her meows!

Cold showers are helpful to cool down.

I used to struggle massively in the heat, I was grumpy, sweaty, and just awful to deal with when over heated. Then one year sometime around 2010 as I was dreading work in the heat, dressed up, nothing other than a small fan for relief and really stressing over it, so I literally gave myself a stern talking to; its weather, it's beyond my control, moaning about it does not help it only makes it worse! And somehow it worked, and has continued to work.

A mental switch was flipped and since then, yes,I get hot but it's just not the issue it was. Just as well too as some years I've gotten through 6 liters of fluids a day with all the manual labour I've done, one of my trailers would usually be at least 10 degrees hotter than outside to boot. Sweat would drip off my nose, chin, elbows, you name it.... now I still run 30 miles a week, weather is not a major issue. I slow down a little to avoid serious overheating in the hottest part of the day but that's all. I've run 26 miles in 30 degrees before now, more than once (and been fine, albeit sweaty)

In the week I get home from work and my shorts and polo shirt are damp and sticky but it's beautiful to see the sun and its effects on the world and I'm lucky to have a job and even been alive so I just enjoy it to the best of my ability.

I did just order a paddleboard to use on the river and that is lovely although you have to be extra careful of the reflected rays off the water too

yes up here in Glasgow usually don`t mind warm days as me and the dog always went hill walking but with her not being great it`s short slow walks and you feel it more I think.
