Do you have a fear of forming relationships?

Apprehension of new relationships due to the fear of loss is extremely common in cases of severe grieving, but of course this is something you should be wary of. In order to move forward and continue to grow, we must forge new relationships.

in my volunteering I take time to form new working relationships like to suss people out first.

I don’t avoid new friendships in fact I seek them but I only allow them in so far. I’m always on the alert that my loved ones could leave at anytime without warning and cause such intense pain that I’d sooner not get attached. Sad but true.
