You planned to do as a hobby?

Now I know it's early, but better to have in mind some forms of distractions for the dreary months ahead <3

I have a pile of jigsaw puzzles my neighbour has given me and a crochet throw that I started 6 months ago to finish.I have set myself a challenge to read one book a month at least.Whether I do any of these is another thing!Any ideas Chloe?

Excellent Sandradsn One book a week is fab and jigsaws, funny enough, I put one that wasn't completed on my table this afternoon, a bit too early though, so back in the box it went

😀I have bought several books too but I've started one already!

I'm determined to use the embroidery silks and material I bought earlier in the year and also the watercolour pencils and books.

All I need now is the right mood

😉

Yes it all depends if I'm in the mood to do anything.🙂I've not tried embroidery 🤔yet!

Not sure I can fit any more in! 🤣 I intend to sea swim throughout as I did last year. Even though in the coldest months its just a ten min dip, the comraderie and the tingle is worth it. The groups vary depending on times/day but many suffer with mental health issues, like me and have suffered losses both long ago and very recent.

Running will get even more time and I'll make an effort to do more runs with others.

Daily workouts, however small can really boost mood and believe it or not, the more you do, the more energy you feel you have 👍🏻

Blimey GoGo_JoJo I’m out of breath just reading this 🥹

Really fantastic that you’re so into all this, it certainly is good for you!

Wish it were me

There is always something we can do, there's seated workouts out there, even walking, or marching on the spot to music you like is good, or just dancing around your kitchen. Anything that raises the heart rate a little is good. Getting into a routine of doing something every day helps with self control and gives a daily boost to motivation. 👍🏻

I really really can t stand the weather changing I love summer heat and the sun and being outdoors sooooo much. I definitely feel I have seasonal depression. Not sure what I can do i wish my husband would be agreeable to move to a warmer climate year round. I just get so depressed and all the recommended things don’t seem to do the trick for me. Exercise, a hobby, light therapy, keep busy, etc and so on

Hi Lperica10 It's so lovely to hear from you<3

This summer has really changed my mind about liking the sun, I've found it really difficult this year, but I expect I'll be complaining, come dreary days.

Years ago, I definitely would have up sticks, but not now.

I know exactly what you mean but I realise it my motivation that needs a push!

Take care <3

I’ve really not enjoyed the weather this summer. I used to love the sun & heat & spent many months in my home abroad. But not anymore So for me I’m really looking forward to autumn/winter. Nice long walks cosy pub log fires roast dinners. The only thing that I don’t like is the dark nights that start at 4pm.

I’ve decided to learn sign language so I’m on a mission to find a course locally.

That sounds so good!👍

Here what I plan to do in addition to job and house hunting and to take my mind off them is carry on going swimming a few times a week, carry on with my future learn courses which I enjoy doing and carry on learning languages on duolingo as I find that they help to push worries over things that are beyond my control out of my mind and help me to feel better in myself.

How are you getting on after having been seriously ill

After I had my PE physically I recovered quite quickly once I was on the treatment but psychologically it took a while before I felt well there again.

Thanks for asking,

It’s a slow process but I am making positive improvements every day xx
