Hi Tats. That's a very big and important question you have there. So i hope between us all we can help you towards something suitable. As your a stranger in need I'll try with a few starters.
Do you want a lovely verse he would like or a verse that talks about him ?
For the former then it would have to be something you knew he liked.
My favourite poem is IF... . On my bedroom wall i have the Serenity Prayer so i might like a few lines from either of them. Did your brother have any favourite poems, verses of books ?
I have just typed "verses for headstones brother" into Bing and come up with many possibilities such as:
Help your brother's boat across,
and your own will reach the shore.
That is a Hindu proverb i rather like now and you can interpret brother in several ways. I think the intent is a literal brother but it can be read as such.
Thank you for that link, the wording was absolutely beautiful, im going to gather afew verses together and see what i can come up with. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction.
To be honest, I also thought for a very long time that I should write on the tombstone of my best friend when he died. His mother knew how close we were and that it was as much a tragedy for me as it was for them. I know that to go to another world in a dream is the best death, but he left us too soon. He didn't even have time to live, and we are already choosing what we will write on his mattosmonuments.com/slant-h... slant headstone maker . I hope you will not have such a tragedy and your loved ones will always live happily ever after. And that they and you will have a lot of time to live. And you will live it the way you want it.
