Which is separate to Bereavement support?

I ask this as I am particularly interested to know if you see this a different to or the same as Bereavement support.

Thank you<3

Yes different situations....

although it is said that a loss can bring up other suppressed emotional difficulties, I feel it is important to recognise a bereavement as a separate emotional issue in which to receive the correct support.

Hello @Heidi1066

I absolutely agree with you!

I would like to see emotional support offered to those who recognise the difference too, thank you.

I would see these as different situations I think.I'm finding that I'm emotional about other situations, family and the future now.

Hi Sandradsn

Thank you for replying.

I would also like to see emotional support offered to those who need it. I believe we can have many types of emotional distress and I hope in the future this will be covered.

now I do I think Chloe its been tough the last few weeks.my aunt is now in a care home one week today its strange because now its just my niece living there.now its her home its the first time in 47 years that I feel like its not my right just to go in and when I do it feels empty like it did after my mum and dad died it feels emotional but my emotions are being made worse by neighbours vile abusive language directed to my Mrs in front of my kids and its having an effect on them so my emotions have flared up recently.

So sorry to read this Kenny, you're really going through it right now<3

I imagine it must be very difficult for you having been used to your Aunt living there, has your niece always lived there?

Your presence has been really helpful to your Aunt and no doubt your niece, I'm thinking it would be a good idea for you to clear the air Kenny (in a light hearted way) and say something like 'It feels strange popping in here without Aunt, is it still okay?' I'm sure you know how to phrase it, but better out than in Kenny, you'll only 'stew' on it otherwise.

I really feel for you, neighbours like these are a nightmare and very stressful indeed. Do you have a housing officer you could contact? x

hi Chloe I still go over and feed my nieces cat and tidy up but going in my mum and dads room feels like i did after they died because of that emptiness has me dwelling.my niece has lived in the house for over a year but she was at college and work so I had been in everyday.I suppose i went from caring for my aunt to caring for the cat...

Oh yes of course, the emptiness is horrible Kenny and I understand that would be a trigger.

That must feel pretty uncomfortable for you, please try and have a chat with her because you don't want this stirring up emotions, on top of everything else that's going on <3
