I do hope you have all managed to get though each holiday day without too much upset. I was keeping you all in my heart and hoping that you were all okay. <3
Personally, I'll be glad to get back to some form of normality <3

Hi Chloe
I've just heard the front door close quietly saying to me "you're on your own now", in my cold and drafty Edwardian style house. Sitting on the lounge setee is an opened bag of shallots, waiting to be peeled by 'Moi' tonight.
I got through Christmas without any real issue. A few tears yes. I went to see mum and dad on the Sunday before and remembered to pay my respects at the area set aside for babies. I also called into the commonwealth war graves and cried profusely. Thinking of all those innocent babes and brave soldiers. They all had a mention in my prayers that night. This year it seems that our crem was open Xmas and boxing day but not this weekend. Mmmmm...
This morning I work up early and guessed wrongly what day of the week it was. I thought Sunday. I read on Twitter that the Mother (with dementia) of someone I follow passed away peacefully a few days ago. Another soul to pray for.
Since there are so many good films on TV now, do you think anyone would fancy having a virtual TV meal sometime? That would be nice and easy thanks to "on-demand" TV and the simplicity of TV meals. Maybe something on New Year's eve, for those who don't want to party. What do you think?
Hello Greyone
Sorry you feel so alone just now, you interpret family actions well but it is hurtful for you {{{hugs}}}
Shallots eh? are you going to pickle them?
I'm glad you were able to go to the Crem and pay your respects; it is odd that they are closed this weekend though, I suppose they have to have time off as we all do.
Sorry to read of another loss to dementia, such a dreadful disease.
I can't find anything decent to watch on TV but I'm glad you can.
A virtual dinner New Years Eve, yes I'm for that, let's see if we can encourage others to put there name down and make suggestion for our menu.

Two fantastic things my mum taught me to do - pickling and sage and onion stuffing.
My really big joy was my favourite program . Last night it was to celebrate the life and music of Tony Hatch. It was a repeat but I enjoyed it with a big bottle of lager. His music is lovely for two hours and he is enjoyable to listen to.
I'm planning a simple meal for new years eve, Chicken and Bacon pie with a nice drink and very little washing up.
Tomorrow morning is the time I set aside for remembering. I listen to "Something Understood" on the radio, then spend time thinking about mum and dad.
Hope you are enjoying yourself Chloe.
