Can’t stop crying

I would cry a little every day and sometimes not. But lately I’ve been crying uncontrollably. Because it’s so close to Christmas? Because of the stress? Because I’m prone to depression anyway? I just can’t control it.

Hello fallen_leaf

You're quite right, all of these heighten your emotions {{{hugs}}} I'm really sorry you're going through this, so very difficult to cope this time of year without getting upset and I hope you have support from others around you to get you through this period. If you're still depressed in a few days either before or after Christmas, please have a word with your doctor, meanwhile, we're here for you!

Hi fallen leaf I'm sorry to see you are having problems with your emotions especially at this time of the year! Have you been to your doctor to ask for help It might be wise as crying is a way of getting rid of bad emotions! I had big problems with crying a lot and I tried to hide my emotions but found letting them out helped me my doctor gave me quetiapine which helped over time but lately I'm getting what I call dark thoughts which usually subside but they can linger! I wish you well and that you have a great Christmas! Im usually around here so if you need someone to converse with please do david!

It can sometimes be hard to know why we cry. If it is grief or something else in your life. if you are being treated for your doctor or a counsellor then they should be able to help you with your crying periods. If not then your doctor may be able to advise or refer you.
