Inspired by my father

In response to the poll here about whether someone inspired me to be strong, I answered "family" because my father's recollections of his past inspired me. Six years after his mother died, my father lost his brothers, one younger and one older than he was. At that time, he was 18 years old and prepared to serve the United States during World War I.
