So sore: Do other ladies get tears down below I... - Behçet's UK
So sore
I think I got one last month. It was the first time - without anything coming into contact, I suddenly felt a sharp pain. For want of a better word, I would say it felt like razor cut. I saw a superficial cut, as thin as a pencil mark, approximately 1.5 inches long. It healed by the next day.
I feel your pain and concern, I thought I was the only person this happened to until I found forums like this one and started chatting to other people who have unfortunately got Behcet's Disease.
I get them quite frequently, so you are not the only person who suffers with them my friend. I seem to get them when other things flare up, for instance my ribs, I suffer with the cartilage in between my ribs getting inflamed. Prof Fortune who works at the London Centre of Excellence, I don't know if you are looked after by one of the Centre of Excellence teams? Well Prof F calls my rib thing 'Costochondritis', another posh word is what I call it!! So there is the tears down below, the ribs, mouth and nasal ulcers and even more severe throat ulcers than I have any other time. That is all on top of my mobility issues from hip, groin and ankle pain. I perminantly have hip pain, although it is a lot, lot worse when things flare up.
Basically I pretty much know now when I am in for a rough time, as my body kind of gives me little clues😉 It can be the tears, or mouth ulcers, but once one starts, I usually get the whole lot. Maybe not all at the same time, but they will all come out, one way ore another🤒😢
Behcet's is definately a horrible disease I will give it that. I am always happy to chat and happy for you to PM me if you would like to😊
Keep smiling😄

Hi Duvet thanks for your reply,I have yet to go to the London hospital so as yet have not had a diagnosis.Unfortunately I have Sjogrens which also causes mouth ulcers and other nasty things but this down below has got me and my G.P stumped. The sides of my mouth also constantly split as if you have cold sores but they are not cold sores,do you get that?.I also have Fibromyalgia and Chondo of the ribs bothers a lot of people I know, luckily I`m O.K there although I can`t stand my ribs being touched.I really hope this is not what I have but a lot is pointing to it.It all seems to have gone hay wire over the last 2 years in fact I did not see my G.P for 15 months as I got so sick of everything coming back normal. But then it was only swabs and a couple of blood test.My G.P is a sweetie and at least said the old lady garden should not look as it does LOL.Hugs Jayne xx
Yes I get them all the time. I have asked my obgyn if they were ulcers and she said they are different than the ulcers I have had, but they do hurt. I often get some itching in those areas as well and the obgyn thinks I have Lichen Sclerosis as well. I think the tears must be related to BD somehow.
Yes I get them. I had some botox to give them time to heal.
I have never had it examined but I get one inside - a recurring long, painful lesion over the site of an episiotomy scar. It feels like a tear.
I did until I started the colchicine and now I don't get tears or genital ulceration. See if your dr can prescribe some numbing cream to help you through.its called instilagel and it's good stuff
