Hi, sorry for all the questions. I'm running ahead of myself but I really don't want to go down the steroid or immune supressent route. My friend said at the hospital she goes to some people with behcets go and have ivig which works well for them. I already have thin bones and am worried what steroids would do to them.

Hi Vickilouse, i have IVIG every month. In Australia they have to do a number or blood tests that are looking at your immune state and theb they apply to the blood bank and they decide if you meet the proticol as it is a pooled blood product it is very expensive for the bank to provide. The bloodmbank also decides how long it will gibe approlval for. mine is every 6mths at the moment as my trough level seems hardnto raise but it can be given for 12 mths if you are stable. i think it is improving my infection rate as I have not been in hospital for 4 weeks as usually i go in every 2-3 weeks very sick and need to ventilated in ICU. Good luck with this and get back to me if you have any further questions.
