Vasculitis Behcets and Life Insurance

Hi All,

I've not been on for a while, diagnosed with Behcets just over a year ago..

My wife and I signed up for life insurwnce recently, hers went through no problems, mine they had to ask GP (even though they know absolutely nothing about Behcets) for more information. I still have some blood clot in my leg from the inflamation caused by Behcets so on that basis apparently L&G won't cover me.

Question is, does anyone else have vasculitis form of Behcets and if so have you had successful Life Insurance application and with what company?

I’m new and trying to connect with people with this disease because my wife has been recently diagnosed with bechets and the doctors really have no clue. The side effects from the medications are ruining her quality of life and we just want to learn from those who are also in this fight! I hope to hear from you soon

I have vascular Behcets, and blood clot in my chest. Someday are a struggle but I like to keep pushing myself. Have to say not tried to get life insurance yet - guessing I may have same problem doing so as you are.

As hard as life gets with living with Behcets all I can say is try and keep positive.
