Mouth sore
Your poor brother-in-law, Ashvini. His illnesses sound very complex indeed. No wonder he feels weak at times. His quality of life obviously centres around excellent medical care and the best possible nutrition. But looking after his mind and spirit is as essential as taking care of his bodily needs. Showing him and his immediate family that they are loved and cared for will help him be happier, which could give him an energy boost. If you can, help him sit or lie in different rooms, and take him outside for some fresh air and sunshine. Help to lift his spirits by ensuring he has some entertainment, and is not in a room on his own for long periods of time. If there is something creative he can make or do from his bed, do everything you can to facilitate that.
I am sure others here will come up with advice for his mouth ulcers - it's not a problem I suffer from much. But I was bed-bound for a while, so I know how important it is to keep life as varied and interesting as possible in times of great physical weakness.
Best of luck to you and your family.
