Hi there

Oh yes - awful. I don't think there is anything you can take but I think I have got to the bottom of why it happens. There are certain foods which contain salycilates, so I would look closely at your diet. I have found my main triggers are food and drink high in sugar. Wine, beers, cider etc and chocolate The way I did it was remove all from my diet - It did make a difference, and I had no restless legs. I had a glass of wine a couple of weeks back and I noticed the difference. I hope this helps.
There's one medical journal article on restless legs syndrome (RLS) in BD. RLS shows up a lot more often in people who have BD than it does in healthy people (non-BDers), but the people who did the study in 2011 don't know why. Here's the basic info:
"109 BD patients were included in the analysis. The prevalence of RLS was significantly higher in patients with BD [32 out of 109 BDers had it (29.4%) than in people without BD (only 5 out of 104 healthy people had RLS; 4.8%)]. No significant differences were found between BD patients with and without RLS with regard to the clinical features of BD. RLS severity positively correlated with age in BD patients.

I do yes. I’m not sure if Related to Behcet’s. For me the thing that stopped was gabapentin. It was immediate results. Helped my sleeping as a result. They did tests and found I was moving my legs constantly. Now I don’t. Of course my husband could tell them that...😉
I found from 23andme that I had the genetic tendency to RLS. I’ve also had a bad reaction to trial of Metformin where I got all night restless legs & all night insomnia!
I was anaemic and my follate was incredibly low at 14. I was advised to take iron and no more restless legs!
